Privacy

Cheq is built so you do not have to trust us with a bank password. There is no live bank connection and no Plaid.

Your CSV

The file is read in your browser for this session and kept in session storage on your device so you can move from upload to report. It is not uploaded to a Cheq server for parsing or storage. Closing the tab clears it.

Payment

If you pay $9 CAD, Stripe processes the card. Cheq stores a short-lived access cookie that proves the Checkout session was paid. Stripe does not receive your transactions. Cheq does not receive your card number.

What we do not do

We do not sell spending data. We do not build a profile of your merchants. We do not keep the CSV after the session. If you host your own copy of Cheq, you are the operator and should keep Stripe keys on the server only.
